Cambodia submitted its Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in 2015 ahead of the Conference of Parties (COP 21) in Paris. State parties are now working to accelerate the implementation of the INDC (Intended Nationally Determined Contribution) and resubmit the revised NDC prior to the COP in 2020.
The Gender and Climate Change Committee of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs (MoWA) in Cambodia saw the opportunity to engage and influence the NDC review and update to mainstream gender in the process. This training on gender and NDCs will support MoWAs efforts in this regard and build their capacity on gender and climate integration.
