Under the EmPower project, The State of Gender Equality and Climate Change series of reports aims to support countries within the Asia-Pacific region in presenting more evidence and analyzing the gendered impacts of climate change in key adaptation and mitigation sectors.

The State of Gender Equality and Climate Change in Nepal was developed with ICIMOD to strengthen country-driven processes for gender-responsive climate action by presenting evidence of the interlinkages between gender equality and climate change. It provides concrete recommendations to inform and align national and local policies, strategies, and programs. In particular, it examined four key climate-sensitive sectors, including forestry, agriculture, energy, and water management.  

This national dissemination workshop will serve as a venue to share the key findings of the report as well as provide recommendations to policy makers that will help advance progress towards achieving gender-responsive climate action within the country.
